The land our hotel and conference center rests on used to be a Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge. It was converted into an Econo Lodge and then torn down and built into a Holiday Inn Express in 1999. Our pool is original to the Howard Johnson's, was constructed in the 1950s, and has gone through many renovations with the most current one being in 2015 with the construction of the Forbes Road Conference Center. The pool was enclosed and a hot tub was added in addition to new facilities for laundry, storage, guest fitness and a kitchen.
The Forbes Road Conference Center and pool enclosure building itself was constructed as an addition on to the west side of the Holiday Inn Express. Construction began in September of 2014 and finished in November of 2015.
We are dedicated to provide superior service, state-of-the-art technology and the ideal venue for your corporate function, special event or celebration at The Crossroads of History.
We offer a variety of services in addition to our meeting rooms. Coffee, white boards, podiums, microphones and more are all available for use. For more info on such items, please view our listing on this page. In addition, we have a fully stocked Sundry sales shop for select over-the-counter medication and a variety of snacks and drinks.
For your comfort and convenience, all rooms feature in-room Carrier AC/Heating climate controls allowing you to set the temperature for your meeting. Also newly installed, we have dynamic LED lighting that is controllable from a multi-option switch. Dim the lights for a film, projection, or slideshow with the push of a button!
